Fees are payable by a monthly instalment on the 1st of each month. You will receive a notice to prompt you for your monthly payment.
The invoice amount will remain the same EVERY MONTH.
Fees have therefore been calculated for 45 weeks of the year and divided into 12 equal payments in an attempt to make it easier for parents setting up a standing order.
In addition to monthly session payment, there’s an annual Insurance payment made to British Gymnastics. This cost is the same regardless of when you pay it in the year.
British Gymnastics Membership/Insurance
- £41 for competitive gymnasts
- £17 for recreational gymnasts
- £11 for pre-school children
Registering for BG Membership
British Gymnastics Membership fees must be paid when requested and/or as soon as gymnasts join a recreational or competition group (this does not apply to Pay-as-you-go gymnasts).
New data protection legislation means that all gymnasts (if 16-years-old or over) or their parents (if under 16-years-of-age) must now visit the BG online registration portal to register their child’s details and complete registration. Only when this is done will gymnasts be insured to do gymnastics/be members of BG. The BG registration process can be carried out by clicking here: British Gymnastics Membership Portal.
More information on BG membership is available here.
Clothing and Kit Costs
Other costs include those for gymnastics clothing and kit, eg leotards or chalk, which are at your discretion.
Competitive gymnastics is entirely at your discretion and is, of course, dependent upon achievement of the prerequisite skills. Competitions frequently result in entry fees, travel, an annual competition levy and other expenses. We will always advise you in advance of any such costs.
